Steel shot hardness and density affect quality

(1) The hardness of the steel shot is directly proportional to the cleaning speed, but inversely proportional to the life. Therefore, the hardness is high, the cleaning speed is fast, but the short life span consumes a large amount, so the hardness should be moderate (approximately HRC40-50 is appropriate) to produce the most economical effect.
(2) Moderate hardness, with excellent resilience, each corner can be fully cleaned during blasting, reducing processing time.
(3) Internal defects of the projectile, such as cracks in the pores and internal shrinkage, can affect its life and increase consumption.
(4) When the density is greater than 7.4g / cc, the internal defects will tend to be minimal.
